ANNOUNCEMENT: Leelanau Peninsula Chamber of Commerce has decided to discontinue the Leelanau Peninsula Wine on the Water Festival.

The festival originated when the wine industry was first developing in our region. The event was a great way to promote the vintners and raise awareness for our destination as a wine region.

While the Chamber continues to actively promote the vintners and agri-tourism for our region, our efforts have shifted away from hosting events so that we may continue to focus our efforts on business development, support, and advocacy while providing visitors to the region information about Leelanau.

We invite you to continue to follow us on Leelanau Peninsula Chamber of Commerce and continue to follow our friends at Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail for upcoming events, activities and ways to support our spectacular wine region.

Traverse City Film Festival – July 30 – August 4, 2019

The 2019 Traverse City Film Festival will be held July 30 – August 4, 2019.

The Traverse City Film Festival was founded by Oscar winning filmmaker Michael Moore as a charitable, educational, nonprofit organization committed to showing “Just Great Movies” and helping to save one of America’s few indigenous art forms — the cinema.

The festival brings films and filmmakers from around the world to northern Michigan for the annual film festival in late July to early August, and also owns and operates a year-round, community-based, mission-driven art house movie theater, the State Theatre.

If it is made permanent, something overhead to give it a cozier feel. like strung lights or a colorful canopy or both? Like downtown Las Vegas? Just a thought.

Absolutely love it!

Brava
