City of Riesling – July 23 – 24, 2017

City of RieslingJoin us in Traverse City, Michigan July 23rd and 24th, 2017 for a global celebration of Riesling featuring Stuart Pigott and Riesling, the Best White Wine on Earth.

The highlight of the weekend will be the Night of 100 Rieslings on Sunday, July 23, a gala affair held near downtown. In addition to the Bar of 100 Rieslings tended by professional sommeliers and the producers themselves, live music and dinner, City of Riesling III will have several new attractions, including a brunch on Sunday and a lunch sponsored by New York’s Finger Lakes Wine Alliance on Monday.

Those hoping to take their exploration of the grape to a new level will want to participate in Salon Riesling on Monday, July 24 on the second floor of The Franklin restaurant. This energetic and educational tasting symposium will feature analysis and discussion from a range of winemakers, writers and wine experts over a variety of topics spread across four unique one-hour sessions. New this year will be a walk-around wine tasting held concurrently and just across the hall from the Salon.

The Homestead – Harvest Wine Tour Weekend – October 26 to 28, 2012

After you’ve had a good night’s rest and a delicious breakfast, we’ll take you to four of Leelanau’s wineries.

You’ll meet the winemakers, sample and discuss their wines and purchase what you wish. Come evening you’ll enjoy a winemakers’ dinner for which Chef John Piombo and the winemaker will prepare a menu with wine pairings for a five course meal.

After a leisurely Sunday morning breakfast, you’ll take your memories and wines home. From $152 per person, per night, based on double occupancy.

Romancing the Riesling – Wineries of Old Missions Peninsula – February 18, 2012

The region is known for producing top notch Riesling grapes so we’re celebrating by sharing some of the best Rieslings that Northern Michigan has to offer. Participating wineries will showcase a Riesling, served in your very own souvenir wine glass and perfectly paired with a food offering. Leelanau Peninsula Wine, Food & Music Festival – Suttons Bay – July 21, 2012

We’re excited to announce we’re moving the Leelanau Peninsula Wine, Food & Music Festival to Suttons Bay and a new weekend this year!

The Annual Leelanau Peninsula Wine, Food & Music Festival will be held at Marina Park in Suttons Bay, Michigan on Saturday, July 21st. The event will feature16 wineries, 8 food vendors, one brewery and one hard cider vendor.

This year’s entertainment showcases the blues duo, Hipps n Ricco. Entrance is $15 per person which includes commemorative wine glass and two tasting tickets. Additional tasting tickets are available for $2 each. Full bottle sales will be available and must either be consumed or disposed of on site.

Each Annual Wine Festival is planned by the Leelanau Peninsula Chamber of Commerce.
