Egon – Music on the Mountain – The Homestead – September 7, 2012

Our 2012 Music on the Mountain series includes the band Egon for the finale. With its members ranging in age from 23 to 27 years old, Egon has taken a “youthful” approach to the music of their parents, and maybe even their grandparents.

Egon’s set list is rooted in funk, rock and R&B dance tunes of the 60′s and 70′s.

This summer-long series of concerts will be held at the top of Bay Mountain. Mingle with old friends and new during the happy hour. Purchase one or more tickets in the 50/50 raffle. You could win half of the money and you will help our lakeshore, as the other half will be donated to Preserve Historic Sleeping Bear. This year’s concert schedule is:

Michigan Schooner Festival – September 9-11, 2011

The 3rd annual Michigan Schooner Festival sails once again September 9-11, 2011 on West Bay in Traverse City at Open Space Park and Clinch Park Marina.

MHA Maritime History exhibit and boat building demonstrations will be on display for the entire weekend.

Entertaining Children’s games and activites will be available throughout the weekend.

Captain Robert “Edward Teach” Barbanegra and Crew of the Armed Sloop “CRYSTA” will be sailing into Traverse City – ta pillage the village at the Schooner Festival – We be lookin forwards ta meetin all da little Swabs an Mates an ta sharing da games dat Pirates played aboard ship. We’ll be telling a Yarn or two an singen pirate tunes an having a good piraten time. – Yo Ho it’s a Pirates life fer me!!!!

General 3 Day Weekend Admission is $5.00 per person.
Children 5 and under are free.

Michigan Schooner Festival Food Court – This delicious showcase of local restaurants is open for business at 10:00am! Be there to sample some of Traverse City’s favorites.

Art exhibitors will also be on site throughout the festival. Featured exhibitors are Korner Gem.

Package prices begin at $217 per person, per night based on double occupancy or $195 per person, per night based on triple occupancy. No matter which option you choose, you price includes a stunning suite at Stony Brook Lodge, two dinners, two lunches, three breakfasts, and the many activities scheduled during the retreat. They do not include: spa treatments, outdoor activities such as skiing, gratuity or tax and tariff on the room. An advance deposit of $350 per person is required at the time of reservation. Cancellation prior to 7 days is subject to fee of $50. Cancellation within 7 days forfeits deposit.

TC Waterman Challenge & Expo – August 20, 2011

Shout Sister Shout – Michigan Legacy Art Park – Crystal Mountain Resort – August 5, 2011

Jazz music of the 1930s and ’40s by the members of Steppin’ In It with Rachael Davis. This family-friendly concert takes place at an outdoor stage. Food and beverages will be available to purchase. Pre-order a gourmet picnic dinner for two by calling 231.378.2000 ext. 7000.

In case of rain, the concert will be held indoors at Crystal Mountain–signs will be posted.

Children 17 and under will be admitted free and do not need a ticket.

All sales are final and non-refundable. Tickets may be exchanged for a concert at a later date by calling 231.378.4963.

Will-call opens at 6 pm at the Art Park trailhead the day of the concert.
