Brandi Carlile and Old Crow Medicine Show – Interlochen Arts Festival – July 15, 2016

Brandi Carlile and Old Crow Medicine Show co-headline this performance at Interlochen Center for the Arts for an evening of superlative, genre-busting music.

Since her heralded, genre-defying 2005 Columbia debut, Carlile and her indispensable collaborators, Tim and Phil Hanseroth, aka The Twins, have always offered listeners both control and abandon, often within a single song. Her latest release, The Firewatcher’s Daughter, was nominated for a Grammy for Best Americana Album.

Two-time Grammy winners Old Crow Medicine Show are members of the Grand Ole Opry and have toured the world playing renowned festivals and venues such as: Bonnaroo, Red Rocks Amphitheater, Cambridge Folk Festival, Coachella, London’s Roundhouse, the Ryman Auditorium, Barclays Center, New Orleans Jazz Fest, Fox Theater Atlanta, Kennedy Center Concert Hall, Summerstage in Central Park NYC, Forecastle, the Newport Folk Festival, and several appearances on A Prairie Home Companion.

Join these two icons of folk music for one unforgettable evening of music!

Gregg Allman and Peter Frampton – Interlochen Arts Festival – July 18, 2016

One of rock music’s all-time greatest artists and guitarists, Peter Frampton has collaborated with artists such as George Harrison, David Bowie and Jerry Lee Lewis. Now, he’s back on the road with Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Gregg Allman, whose soulful and distinctive voice is one of the defining sounds in American music.

Allman’s expertise on keyboard, Frampton’s virtuosity on guitar and both men’s distinctive vocals guarantee a night of performance that is nothing short of legendary.

Gregg Allman is one of the most acclaimed and beloved icons in rock and roll history. As a founding member of the legendary Allman Brothers Band and in his own storied solo career, Allman has long been a gifted natural interpreter of the blues, his soulful and distinctive voice one of the defining sounds in the history of American music.

Peter Frampton remains one of the most celebrated artists and guitarists in rock history. At 16, he was lead singer and guitarist for British band the Herd. At 18, he co-founded one of the first supergroups, seminal rock act Humble Pie. His session work includes collaborations with such legendary artists as George Harrison, Harry Nilsson, David Bowie, Jerry Lee Lewis, Ringo Starr, John Entwistle and many others. SYBARITE5 – Interlochen Arts Festival – July 19, 2016

Who says classical music can’t be cool? Sybarite5 certainly doesn’t. The classically trained string quintet has achieved rock-star status through electrifying performances since their debut at the Aspen Music Festival.

Equally comfortable with classical and contemporary selections, Sybarite5 created the project “Look Back, Move Forward,” inspired J.S. Bach’s solo suites, with a different contemporary composer writing each of the six movements.

Radiohead arrangements, Piazzolla tangos and Dan Visconti’s “Hitchhiker’s Tales” round out a thoroughly modern classical performance.

An Evening with HUEY LEWIS AND THE NEWS – Interlochen Arts Festival – July 19, 2016

One of the greatest bands in rock and roll history, Huey Lewis and the News are still going strong 37 years after their founding. Lewis’ rich vocals bring classic hits such as “Heart of Rock and Roll,” “Stuck with You” and “Workin’ for a Living’” to life on stage at Interlochen’s own Kresge Auditorium.

The show also features a blues twist as Lewis takes a turn on harmonica and several acapella arrangements of early-rock standards.

Huey Lewis and The News are truly one of America’s great rock & roll bands. As they enter their 36th year together, their contagious brand of music has outlasted countless trends, and is as fresh today as ever. Formed from two rival Bay Area bands in 1979, they continue to thrill audiences worldwide, selling over 20 million albums in the process, earning them the right to mark their place on the pop history map.
