The Homestead – Harvest Wine Tour Weekend – October 26 to 28, 2012

After you’ve had a good night’s rest and a delicious breakfast, we’ll take you to four of Leelanau’s wineries.

You’ll meet the winemakers, sample and discuss their wines and purchase what you wish. Come evening you’ll enjoy a winemakers’ dinner for which Chef John Piombo and the winemaker will prepare a menu with wine pairings for a five course meal.

After a leisurely Sunday morning breakfast, you’ll take your memories and wines home. From $152 per person, per night, based on double occupancy.

The Homestead – Great Lakes Photo Tours – Spring Dunes – May 7 – 9, 2012

Naturalist Photographer Mark Carlson and Digital Photography Instructor Bob Grzesiak treat Great Lakes Photo Tour participants to some of the most inspiring scenic and natural areas in the Great Lakes region. From digital snap-shooters to advanced photo enthusiasts, all will benefit from Mark and Bob’s over 50-years of combined experience as professionals in their fields.

Mark presents a wealth of naturalist information to attendees, as well as many helpful tips and suggestions on how to make better nature photographs, regardless of equipment or skill level. Bob offers his expertise assisting digital photographers with their camera and accessories, allowing them the opportunity to create cherished photographs, not just memories, while enjoying their eco/photo tours or excursions.

Andre Villoch – Music on the Mountain – The Homestead – July 3, 2012

The Homestead is proud to welcome back a longtime friend and favorite, Andre Villoch. Famed for his dynamic vocal range and vivacious onstage wit and charm, Andre is authentic, soulful and gritty. He’s known for his lyrical prowess by delivering satisfying melodies about life, love and the allure of music. With roots in opera, pop, gospel bluegrass and folk, his songs bear the mark of rich heritage of musical inspiration.

A mainstay on the Michigan folk and Indie circuit for the past 10 years, Andre made the state of Main his new home two years ago. In addition to connecting to his new east coast fan base, Andre has spent the last year in the studio working on his fourth album. Visit iTunes or www.AndreVilloch.com.

Music on the Mountain

This summer-long series of concerts will be held at the top of Bay Mountain. Mingle with old friends and new during the happy hour. Purchase one or more tickets in the 50/50 raffle. You could win half of the money and you will help our lakeshore, as the other half will be donated to Preserve Historic Sleeping Bear. This year’s concert schedule is:
