Moody Fishtown mornings — we’re in the limbo between busybusybusy season and closed, still too busy to stop moving but finding we’re able to breathe just the teensiest bit easier ✨ ... See MoreSee Less
🙌🏻💙There’s an older gal who calls the shop often and is always sending someone flowers out of state (ps- yes, we can do that). I always enjoy her phone calls, which are quite lengthy, because she gives me the full story on the who where what and why she’s doing it. The best part is getting to listen to her card messages because they are so thoughtful and sincere.
The most recent time she called, she mentioned that she was currently staying at her house up north. Sneakily, I asked for her address - you know, for credit card purposes (back story, my POS actually does not require such information). I wanted to send her flowers as a thank you for all the business she’s given us, but also because my bleeding heart had a sneaking suspicion that she might enjoy them.
3 loooong voicemails later, we found out that she is in her NINETIES and has NEVER received flowers *gasp* “I’ve been sending flowers for years as a thoughtful gesture, but never once have I received any”.... Angel and I were both in tears hearing this. Perhaps you are too?
You know that friend who does everything for everyone? Do something for them. Remind them that their kindness and efforts do not go unnoticed. I promise it’ll feel good. The smallest gestures make the biggest impacts ♥️
