Northport Creek Golf Course
Northport Creek is a par 35 course located within the Village of Northport – just blocks from the Northport Marina.
Designed by noted Michigan golf architect Jerry Matthews, the course focuses on the natural – using the contours and beauty of the old farm land to suggest the placement of the holes and the flow of the course.
Northport Creek’s owners have taken Matthew’s focus on the natural even further with the addition of solar to power the golf carts and the course irrigation, making Northport Creek the first solar powered golf course in the country!

Walked 9 gloriously fun holes this morning with my dear friend esther_m_jay at her hometown course of Northport Creek. It has the most crystal clear water hazards (almost make ya like them) and shimmering aspen groves and soft sandy traps, beautifully ‘up north’ in every sense.

We made a trip to Northport at the tip of the Leelanau Peninsula in the northwest lower peninsula. There is a little 9-hole course that I have been following on social media that intrigued me and I had been wanting to try. So, we made a tee time, packed up our clubs and headed to Northport.
