An extension of our popular summer concert series, The Homestead is hosting a concert at Mountain Flowers Saturday, February 4 from 7pm to 10pm. The music and energy will be so inspiring you’ll have a hard time sitting still.
Jazz North is a “little” big band combining the best acoustic and electric jamz for all genres.
The horn section gels with the rhythm section to perform everything from funk to swing to rhythm and blues. You’ll also hear some Latin, bebop, and rock.
This seven piece band also throws in plenty of fresh original arrangements for a mix that’s delightful for listening and dancing!
The experienced core musicians have played together for many years, creating a tight musical camaraderie that demonstrates their love for music and inspiring anyone with a toe to tap.

The annual Taste the Passion weekend starts with a special winter benefit for the Glen Arbor Art Association now called Winter Glow – Art, Wine & Spirits (formerly Art From Michigan Wine Country). Nonna’s, award-winning Chef John Piombo has created a delicious gluten-free dinner menu for this demonstration which provide a special opportunity for culinary enthusiasts to learn new skills and savor the creation.
Art, wine and small plate delectables will warm the night as the Glen Arbor Art Association, The Homestead, and Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trail team up to offer Art From Michigan’s Wine Country on Friday, February 6, 6-8 pm.
Now in its seventh year at The Homestead’s Mountain Flowers Lodge this fun winter event kicks off Leelanau Peninsula Wine Trails “Taste the Passion” weekend. The Friday night GAAA benefit features an art exhibit and sale of work by local artists, wine from Leelanau wineries, and a small plates menu designed by The Homestead’s chef.
Ticket price is $25 per person with advance reservation. Entrance fee includes one glass of wine, food stations with small plates, and coffee. Additional wine is available for $4/glass or three glasses for $10. Call The Homestead, 334-5100, by February 4 to make an advanced reservation with will call ticket pick up at the event. At the door price is $30 per person the night of the event.
The invitational art exhibit and sale offers recent original works by Bob Ashmun, Jane Batteiger, Linda Alice Dewey, Michelle Hart Jahraus, Christine Nettleton, Joan Richmond, Lisa Wilkins Schulte, and Sally E. Wille. The artists will be on hand to discuss their work.
A portion of each ticket and painting purchase supports the Glen Arbor Art Association programming including a scholarship fund. These programs provide arts opportunities for many families who would not otherwise have them.

Winter Wonderland is here, and there’s “snow” much fun to be had along the trail! This fun-filled winter celebration along the trail takes place Saturday from 11 – 5 and Sunday from 12 – 5.
Tickets are $40 per person* for both days and include a souvenir wine glass and delish Leelanau wine and food pairings at each of 24 participating wineries. After your featured pairing, most wineries offer an additional complimentary 2 to 3 tastes. Have a blast posting photos in our Snow Fun Photo Contest with the chance to win cool prizes, and shop for adorable upcycled wool mittens, hats and more at Baabaazuzu, Traverse Bay’s favorite eco-fashion winter accessory store! Baabaazuzu will feature hand-selected pieces at their pop-up shop, open exclusively at 45 North just for this event! (Baabaazuzu @45 North Hours will be Saturday, February 9th: 12-5, Sunday, February 10th 12-3).
Whether you’re hand-in-hand with your valentine or traversing the trail with your gal pals, it’s sure to be an unforgettable blast!
Don’t want to drive? Find a willing friend and purchase an additional designated driver ticket for just $23. Your driver can still enjoy the food pairings while he/she takes you from winery to winery. You can also take your food & wine tour via bus or limo by contacting one of our transportation partners.
